Dan Foley is a former college baseball player and is the owner of Foley Performance in Christiansburg, VA. He is a highly sought after fitness trainer whose clients have included professional athletes, CEO’s, several members of the Forbes 500 Worlds Richest People, soccer moms, high school athletes, and kids. Dan began his personal training career at Bally’s Total Fitness in San Jose, CA. Following his time at Bally’s, he spent three years creating strength and conditioning programs for two different college baseball programs. Dan also spent two years as the head trainer at the prestigious Highlands Country Club in Highlands, NC. While in Highlands, he was able to work with a clientele that had an average age of 60. In 2007 Dan also helped create the online workout program “Use it or lose it,” for the West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency.
In 2008, in order to further his knowledge and help his clients receive superior results Dan was able to attend seminars and internships with world renown trainers Charles Poliquin and Alwyn Cosgrove. Charles Poliquin's is considered to be one of the best strength coaches in the world and his clients have included Summer and Winter Olympic medalists in the last 6 Olympics. Alwyn Cosgrove is a best selling fitness author and an expert in fat loss. Dan has held certifications from various organizations and is currently certified as a Level 3 trainer in the Poliquin International Coaching Program and is a Level 2 Biosignature Practitioner.
Tricia Foley
Tricia Foley received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Western Carolina University in 2004 while competing in track and field as a pole-vaulter. After graduating, Tricia completed a 900 hour supervised internship and became a Registered Dietitian in 2005. She then moved to Christiansburg, VA where she received her Master’s degree from Virginia Tech in 2007. She has a background in sports and clinical nutrition as well as personal training, Yoga, and Pilates. Tricia has worked as the Assistant Sports Nutritionist for Virginia Tech Athletics for 2 years. Currently Tricia is working at Montgomery Regional Hospital with both in-patients as well as out-patients addressing various disease states, diabetes, eating disorders, and weight loss. She also assists in classes at Foley Performance and works part time as a consulting dietitian.
